On May 24, 19 children and two adults were killed and 16 injured in a shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. A 2018 attack at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, left 17 dead. ‘They Hate You!’: P!nk Gets Personal, Attacking ‘Sad, Old White Men’ In Anti-GOP Screed | The Daily Wire
Singer P!nk got personal in a series of tweets attacking Republicans on Sunday, lashing out in response to the Supreme Court’s Friday announcement overturning the landmark abortion cases Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey . The three-time Grammy winner addressed the issue earlier on Saturday, issuing an expletive-laden tweet encouraging anyone who opposed abortion to never listen to her music again — and apparently provoked a response. “Let’s be clear: if you believe the government belongs in a woman’s uterus, a gay persons business or marriage, or that racism is okay- THEN PLEASE IN THE NAME OF YOUR LORD NEVER F***ING LISTEN TO MY MUSIC AGAIN. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the UK earlier this month for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee festivities, marking their first visit with their two kids Archie and Lilibet since stepping down as senior royals in 2020. Express UK quoted royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams talking about the same and Eugenie’s subsequent involvement in the short trip given her close relationship with both Harry and Meghan. “A tremendous amount of work went on behind the scenes that we don’t know about,” he said. Fitzwilliams continued: “Princess Eugenie, who gets on with them, very likely was involved in that.” The royal expert then confirmed that while the Jubilee visit went without any major mishaps with the Sussexes, … [Read more...] about Princess Eugenie ‘managed’ Prince Harry, Meghan’s return for Queen’s Jubilee
Here’s why Māori and Pacific people may be feeling the most burn from falling crypto
The pain of falling KiwiSaver balances is hitting New Zealanders of Chinese ethnicity hard, while Māori and Pacific people are more likely to be feeling the burn of falling cryptocurrency values. Indian New Zealanders are proportionally more likely to be rubbing their chins over the fall in rental property prices. Data released by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) provides a peek into the investments of choice for people of different ethnicities. It was a by-product of the FMA’s annual investor confidence survey, which showed an unsurprising dip in confidence, as 2022 has seen investors having to cope with the emotional toll of rising interest rates and falling sharemarkets.
