The Kardashians ' showrunner Danielle King revealed that Kim Kardashian 'never' tried to persuade Pete Davidson to appear on the show. The first season of The Kardashians recently wrapped up and while Pete didn't make an appearance on the show, his voiceover was a part of the post-credits scene in the finale episode. Recently, The Kardashians showrunner, Danielle King spoke about the same in interaction with Deadline and noted how it wasn't Kim's idea to have him on the show. In an interview alongside Kris Jenner for Deadline 's Crew Call podcast, King spoke maintained that Davidson's future on the series depends on him and Kardashian who have the final call. Speaking about the comedian's absence from the first season, she added, "Kim never tried to persuade Pete. It's always up to the significant other, or the peripheral person that they're dealing with. If they wanna join in on the fun, more power to them, we're happy to cover that." The couple who began dating … [Read more...] about Kim Kardashian never forced Pete Davidson to appear on ‘The Kardashians’?

While The CW was saying goodbye to one superhero in the Arrow series finale Tuesday night, it may have been saying hello to another as the show seemed to tease that the Arrowverse is getting its version of the Green Lantern character. Streaming service HBO Max is currently developing a Green Lantern TV series, leading some to speculate that there will be a crossover between the Earth-12 Green Lantern Corps in the new series and the Arrowverse on Earth Prime. In Arrow Season 6, Episode 10, John Diggle (played by David Ramsey) was knocked down after a box crashed down from space and landed very close to him. Opening the box, it bathed Diggle in a green glow. We did not see what was in the box, but fans are speculating that the box is the perfect size to contain a certain all-powerful ring. The Arrow showrunners have not confirmed the box contains Green Lantern's ring, but seeing as the signature jewelry is up there with Aquaman's trident, Wonder Woman's lasso of truth … [Read more...] about How the “Arrow” series finale may set up HBO Max’s “Green Lantern” TV series
Last Monday marked one of the biggest TV events of June—Game 5 of the NBA finals. So naturally the crypto exchange Coinbase used the opportunity to air an ad poking fun at crypto’s more enthusiastic doomsayers. A series of tweets declaring “Crypto is dead”—some new, others nearly a decade old—fades in and out over a rendition of Chopin’s funeral march. Then a new slogan rises up in a harsh blue font: “Long live crypto.” The very next day, Coinbase laid off 1,100 employees, about a fifth of its workforce. Maybe the doomsayers were onto something: The prices of Bitcoin and Ethereum, the two most popular coins, have tumbled more than 70 percent from pandemic highs; the NFT market has cratered; and optimism is in short supply. Everywhere you look, the dominoes are falling: One prominent firm, Three Arrows Capital, is reportedly approaching collapse, while other companies are desperately seeking bailouts to stay afloat. In the past three months, the crypto market has shed more than $1 … [Read more...] about The Crypto Kings Aren’t Sorry
Carnage in the cryptocurrency market is nothing new. Over the past decade, even as the value of cryptocurrencies like bitcoin and ether has risen sharply, crashes have been a regular feature of the market. (There’s a reason HODL—“Hold on for dear life”—is a mantra among crypto believers.) But even by crypto standards, the destruction of value over the past six months—and in particular, over the past few weeks —has been staggering. Since November, something like $1.5 trillion in cryptocurrency value has been erased . Bitcoin and Ethereum, the market’s bellwethers, are both down about 60 percent from their peaks. And most strikingly, the so-called stablecoin Terra and its sister token, Luna, which together were valued at about $60 billion six weeks ago, imploded in a matter of days and are now essentially worthless. This huge sell-off of course raises a natural question: What happened? You can certainly point to potential culprits. Inflation and interest rates are rising … [Read more...] about How Crypto Disappeared Into Thin Air
In October, the Colorado biotech company Bioptix changed its name to Riot Blockchain. The company’s valuation doubled within a few days. This might strike you as an extraordinarily bizarre story. But even more bizarrely, it’s becoming ordinary. Weeks later, the British company Online PLC changed its name to Online Blockchain. The company’s shares jumped 400 percent. In December, the Long Island Iced Tea Corporation—which, as you might expect, sold iced tea—rebranded itself Long Blockchain. The company’s shares promptly rose nearly 300 percent. On Tuesday this week, the legacy photography company Kodak announced the launch of KODAKCoin, a “photo-centric cryptocurrency to empower photographers and agencies to take greater control in image rights management.” The stock rose 80 percent in a matter of hours. It is officially silly season in the land of cryptocurrency. To borrow a reference from the show Portlandia , this is the “put a bird on it” stage of crypto, where … [Read more...] about It Is Silly Season in the Land of Cryptocurrency
