Former professional baseball player and manager Pete Rose, 81, on Sunday dismissed a question from a reporter about alleged sexual misconduct. Rose, Major League Baseball’s all-time hits leader, was accused in 2017 of having a sexual relationship with a minor during the 1970s. “I asked Pete Rose what he would say to people who say his presence here sends a negative message to women,” Philadelphia Inquirer reporter Alex Coffey tweeted on Sunday. “No, I’m not here to talk about that,” Rose reportedly responded. “Sorry about that. It was 55 years ago babe.” I asked Pete Rose what he would say to people who say his presence here sends a negative message to women. His response: “No, I’m not here to talk about that. A young Saudi woman has fled from her family and is seeking asylum, fearing for her life after she denounced Islam. "My life is in danger. My family threatens to kill me for the most trivial things," the young woman, identified as 18-year-old Rahaf al-Qunun, told Reuters on Sunday. Al-Qunun was stopped at the airport in Thailand after escaping from her family during a trip to Kuwait. She was en route to Australia to seek asylum but was reportedly stopped by Saudi and Kuwaiti officials when she arrived for a layover in Bangkok. According to Al-Qunun, they forcibly confiscated her passport and she was threatened with deportation. "My brothers and family and the Saudi embassy will be waiting for me in Kuwait," she warned in her comments to Reuters. "They will kill me," she added. Although Thai immigration officials initially attempted to return the young women to her family in the Middle East, they have since vowed to allow her to stay. "She is now under the sovereignty of … [Read more...] about “My family threatens to kill me,” asylum-seeking Saudi woman says after denouncing Islam

November 19, 2021 by www.dailywire.com Leave a Comment

On Friday, Kid Rock returned to his metal-rap roots with a profanity-heavy anthem against Wokeness, titled, “Don’t Tell Me How to Live.” The song, which features backup from the Canadian country rock band Monster Truck, laments that the politically correct sensitivities that Americans thought were funny in the nineties are oppressing them and silencing their speech today: Years ago, we all thought it was a joke, see? That every kid got a motherf***ing trophy But yo homie, here’s a situation A nation of p***ies is our next generation And these minions and their agendas Every opinion has a millennial offended But this amendment one, it rings true And if it don’t descend b***h, then see number two Ain’t nothing new, right church, wrong pew Get a clue or prove your fake news and views Can all kick the bottom of my mother***ing shoe I’m the last of a few still screaming f**k you Ain’t nobody gonna tell me how to live To promote the … [Read more...] about ‘Every Opinion Has A Millennial Offended’: Kid Rock Releases Expletive-Laden New Song Criticizing Wokeness | The Daily Wire

Rugby star Gareth Thomas hid the fact he had HIV, then gave it to me, ex-partner claims

August 7, 2022 by www.stuff.co.nz Leave a Comment

Gareth Thomas, the former rugby star hailed as a gay sporting pioneer, is being sued in Britain's High Court for allegedly "deceptively" transmitting HIV to a former partner. Thomas, 48, has been accused by Ian Baum of hiding his HIV status when the pair were a couple then, knowing he was carrying the virus, "failing to take reasonable care" to ensure that he did not pass on the infection. It is understood that Thomas will vigorously defend the legal claim. Baum, who had an on-off relationship with Thomas from 2013, alleges that he noticed the rugby player taking pills when they first became a couple, but was told these were "vitamin tablets" and the labels had been ripped off bottles. Ex-Celebration Church members believe ‘deliverance’ harmed them

August 2, 2022 by www.stuff.co.nz Leave a Comment

A former Celebration member believes deliverance – the Pentecostal equivalent of exorcism – has been used to replace counselling, medical care, and even law enforcement at the controversial church. Others say the experience of having a demon 'cast out' made them physically ill or left them psychologically damaged. She remembers him telling the congregation there was a demon inside her. That her cheeks burned red as he shouted in tongues into the microphone, speakers booming his voice to hundreds of followers in the auditorium. Beneath the stage lights, his spit spattered her face. Megan* has uncomfortable memories of him grabbing her head tightly and ordering the demon to "be gone". Church leaders circled her, with raised hands, praying for the crying, shaking girl to be 'saved'. She felt hot and dizzy. She was eight.
